Baltimore Ravens WR Ja’Kobi Lane was a pick that differed from public opinion, but general manager Eric DeCosta likes what he saw in the evaluation process, and Lane had a connection to a former Baltimore great. ‘Our board is our board. We do months of work, and sometimes our evaluations differ from public consensus. Lane is a big receiver — 6’4′, ran a 4.46, excellent at contested catches with great hands,’ DeCosta said. ‘He has a connection through Todd Heap. We think he can be a real weapon for Lamar, especially adding big-bodied jump-ball guys after losing some speed.’
