Chris Sale (37 years old, 10.0 WAR) — club option ATL1-yr, $18M  Still a dominant force, but innings are dwindling as he approaches 37 years of age.
Dylan Cease (30, 8.1) TOR 7-yr, $210MHas gone 165-innings with 210 Ks in 5-straight seasons.
Framber Valdez (32, 7.7) DET 3-yr, $115M Huge contract. Totally diff. type of hurler from Skubal, but what a 1-2 punch.
Ranger Suárez (30, 7.5) BOS 5-yr, $130MGround ball ways should play well in Boston. Strong asset, but not a growth stock.
Jack Flaherty (30, 5.9) — can opt out DET 1-yr, $20MHe took the deal. He wouldn’t have gotten that $ on the market.
Nick Martinez (35, 5.5) TB 1-yr Trop is a solid place to pitch. Arrival blunts Boyle/Seymour early season outlooks.
Chris Bassitt (37, 4.8) BAL 1-yr, $18.5M30 starts 4-straight years. Strong late signing for BAL given 1-yr nature.
Michael King (31, 4.7) SD 3-yr., $75M Stays home. Only 15 starts last year, but should rebound.
Shota Imanaga (32, 4.0) — club option/player option 1-yr $22.025MCubs declined his extension. Why? He accepted QO. Why? He’s gotta be hurt, right?
Zac Gallen (30, 3.9)ARI 1-yr, $22MBasically resigned for QO though with deferrals. Will look to re-establish his value.
Merrill Kelly (37, 3.8)ARI 2-yr, $40M Returns after trade to TEX as expected. Still very effective despite advancing age.
Zack Littell (30, 3.7) WAS  In line to make 30 starts. Should be stable if boring.
Patrick Corbin (36, 3.6)   
Erick Fedde (33, 3.2) CWS 1-yr 83 Ks in 141 IP don’t work. Hence the 1.52 WHIP.
Justin Verlander (43, 2.9) DET 1-yr, $13MBack to DET. Was quite effective in the 2nd half. Streaming option in mixed.
Colin Rea (35, 2.7) — club option CHC 2-yr, $13M He’s no ace, but he’s a strong swingman type who can chew up innings.
Zach Eflin (32, 2.6) BAL 1-yr, $10M Can earn $5M more. Says back feels better, after surgery, than in decades.
Kyle Hendricks (36, 2.2)  Plans to retire.
Miles Mikolas (37, 2.2) WAS 1-yr, $2.5M Takes over the vacated Patrick Corbin spot.

Adrian Houser (33, 2.1) SF 2-yr, $22Added velocity and was productive last year. Doesn’t miss bats or have a ceiling though.
Tyler Mahle (31, 2.1) SF 1-yr, $10M Just like man listed above, a veteran 4/5 starter they Hope will be healthy enough to make 20+ starts.
Lucas Giolito (30, 2.0)  Had elbow issues, but said to be OK.
Andrew Heaney (35, 1.9)   Retired.
Michael Lorenzen (34, 1.9) COL 1-yr, $8M Colorado is a great place, but this seems like a money grab. Avoid him in mixers.
Jose Quintana (37, 1.9) — mutual option COL  Solid innings eater, but also so tough to pitch at Coors.
Aaron Civale (31, 1.8) ATH 1-yr, $6M Not really sure why they signed him, but here you are. Decent veteran depth.
