New Orleans Saints OG Trevor Penning (lower body) left the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Aug. 10 due to an apparent lower-body injury. He was walking fine, but both shoes were removed, and he was taken to the locker room on a cart for further evaluation. The 2022 first-round pick out of Northern Iowa is projected as the team’s starting left guard, if healthy.
